It all started in 2020. Yes, during a world pandemic. 

The pandemic allowed Anne to spend time in her happy place...Highlands, NC. When Anne noticed a niche that wasn't being met in Highlands, she decided to pursue her lifelong dream of opening a women's clothing boutique. Anne's passion for style and the fashion industry dates back far beyond 2020. Anne's grandmother, Mildred Miller, was a seamstress and her passion and keen eye was effectively passed down to Anne. Anne dedicates the store name, Milli, to her late grandmother and the bee to her late grandfather, Pete, who was a beekeeper.

Anne believes that every woman has her own sense of style that is based off of personality, lifestyle, and interests. Anne's goal is to assist women in elevating their personal style so they feel confident, trendy, and unique. Her keen eye and diverse taste allows for a unique selection of edgy and chic contemporary clothing for women of all ages. 

Last, but certainly not least, our mascot/model, Milli. Anne got Milli just prior to opening the boutique and she knew the name was meant to be. You can find Milli at the store modeling, napping, or greeting you with love.
